You can combine activities by, for example, booking one of the Grand Canyon helicopter tours that takes you to see the Canyon from the air, then lands at a working cow ranch for an overnight stay of horseback riding and a big ranch-style supper.

You can also fly out from Las Vegas, view the lava fields of the San Francisco peaks, the Hoover Dam, the Grand Canyon and the Black Canyon. Other tours will land on the floor of the canyon for some hiking and lunch, or a quick rafting run.
