Grand Canyon Weather Planner

Get the Grand Canyon weather and the weather for surrounding areas. This is the best information I could find to help you plan your trip. Weather.com also has climate data records so you can see what the Canyon will be like when you get there, winter or summer. For more in-depth research, go to the Park Service weather page. You'll find the link at the bottom of this page.

These forecasts are sorted by distance.
The towns closest to the Canyon are listed first.

South Rim
North Rim

Canyon Interior
Flagstaff

Red Rock Country
Lake Powell

Remember, the Canyon floor can be 20 to 30 degrees hotter than the rims. In the summer, the inner canyon swelters, but in winter, you'll be glad to get down there. It's almost like a Caribbean cruise! Okay, maybe not.

Here's the National Park Service page for Grand Canyon weather.

Here's a nice page with more extensive information, including detailed climate data. Click to view.
