Maswik Hotel Grand Canyon

The Maswik Hotel Grand Canyon features affordable lodging near one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Located on the southwest end of the Grand Canyon Village area, Maswik Lodge is conveniently situated for adventurers to explore this incredible rock formation.

The Maswik Lodge is named for the Hopi kachina guarding the Grand Canyon. It offers modern lodging in an updated facility that is spread over several acres of the Ponderosa Pine Forest. Guests may choose between contemporary rooms and rustic cabins, both with shower and telephone facilities. While the Maswik lodge remains open all year round, the cabins are closed during the winter season. Recently, Xanterra spent in excess of one million dollars to remodel the North rooms, which are larger with ceiling fans and two queen sized beds.

Visitors staying at the Maswik Lodge can enjoy delicious meals at the cafeteria as well as entertainment and cocktails at the Maswik Sports Lounge. However, pets are not allowed at the Maswik Hotel Grand Canyon, so animal lovers have to make provisions for these family members at the kennel located in Grand Canyon Village. Leashed pets are allowed on the rim trails only of the South Rim.

Guests of the Maswik Lodge will appreciate its convenient location within walking distance to the Grand Canyon. Discounted tours of the Grand Canyon are available through the Maswik Lodge and only cost $12.95 per person with a room reservation. Best of all, children under 16 years old take the tour for free and get to stay at the Maswik Lodge for free. Thrifty parents can take advantage of free lodging and tours to save significant money on their family vacation. Nightly rates at the range from around $75 to $140.
