|
|
Tourism of the Grand Canyon is quite an experience, especially for first time visitors. It's best to set aside at least one full weekend to participate in all the fun and excitement that this national landmark has to offer, but any time spent here is worth the trip. Planning is key for tourism of the Grand Canyon, because many of the attractions, hotels and activities book fast, since this is a popular place for travelers. Be sure that you have at least twenty-five dollars available if traveling by car, as that is the cost per vehicle. Once inside the park, take advantage of the free bus tours which take you to notable sightseeing points around the canyon, which are perfect for fabulous photo opportunities. Tourism of the Grand Canyon is divided into two major spots: the North Rim and the South Rim. It is important to know that, while the South Rim remains open for the entire year, the North Rim is closed from mid-October all the way until mid-May. But there is still plenty to see and do from the South Rim during the winter and spring months. It's a great time for a hike to the canyon floor. It's usually 20 to 30 degrees warmer at the bottom! You might start by driving across the country. This is just one fun and exciting way to jumpstart your journey to the northern Arizona site. There are several different routes that will lead you into this wonderful attraction, both main highways, and also more scenic mountain roads. Since tourism of the Grand Canyon has become a major industry, there are several companies that offer a wide variety of services to enhance your visit. A helicopter ride over the entire length of the canyon allows you to see all of the magnificence that this site has to over, both from an aerial and up-close view. Also fun and unique to the Grand Canyon is the famous mule ride, taking you all the way to the bottom of the canyon. These tours sell out months, and sometimes even a year in advance, so it is important to make arrangements way ahead of time. Lastly, a great experience won't be complete without considering a hiking and/or camping trip while indulging in tourism of the Grand Canyon. With so many campsites and trails to choose from, you're sure to have a great experience while taking in all that nature has to offer. I bet you can't wait to come visit one of the Seven Wonders of the World. But, while it's not going anywhere any time soon, it sure is something to see in your lifetime!
